I also found this beautiful autumnal mantis on my walk :) I didn’t plan to pick her up but she very quickly ran up onto my legs when i was sitting down to take pictures of her and i had to gently escort her away

1 note #i used to feed them and handle them at work but i never picked one up withmy bare hands before#they’re so lovely and delicate and surprisingly fast when they want to be
