There is a moth family called Nepticulidae that has some absolutely minuscule species, some with wingspans as small as 2 millimeters. They are usually leaf miners, meaning the caterpillarsย โ€œmineโ€ between the layers of tissue in leaves for food.

Here is a very tiny friend in this family that has a wingspan of about 3mm, Enteucha acetosae:
