the white-throated toucan is a large member of the toucan family native to south america. like other toucans, they primarily feed on fruits; their diet is otherwise composed of insects, lizards, and small birds. males and females only differ in bill size & overall size - in both cases, the males are larger. although they are talented climbers, these birds are fairly weak flyers, and do not often go long distances.
