Oh yeah this might be a “yeah no shit” moment for some people but I sure was trained most of my life to think our veins looked like this:
Like a bunch of branching pointy tree roots, right?
But that’s just because that’s how much of them we can see when they’re on the surface of something. It NEVER crossed my mind how little physical sense that makes.
The veins in our bodies are actually like this:
There are no tapered points. Those would be dead ends for the blood. They all just keep going in a loop and back around, because DUH, HOW ELSE WOULD THEY CIRCULATE
Nobody ever talks about this or portrays it that way in virtually any art.
