White-headed Vulture - Trigonoceps occipitalis

With its bare, pink face and bright orange-red bill with a peacock blue base, Trigonoceps occipitalis (Accipitridae) is one of Africa’s most colorful vultures. This is also the most solitary of the African vultures, usually seen singly or in pairs in mixed deciduous and broad-leaved woodland, rather than in semi-arid thorn veld. Its distribution closely tracks that of the Baobab, Adansonia digitata, which is a favorite nest tree

Assessed as Vulnerable by the IUCN, the White-headed Vulture is threatened by reductions in populations of medium-sized mammals and wild ungulates, on whose carcasses they feed, and the loss of suitable habitat.
