#i love shit like this bc i love stupid fake artifact shit like the voynich manuscript which is legitimately 500ish years old but written in#a gibberish fake language and full of pictures of imaginary plants and animals. and scholars are like but WHYYYY WOULD SOMEONE PUT SO MUCH#EFFORT INTO MAKING A WEIRD JOKE/HOAX and. well u can see#people do all kinds of things in their spare time. and probably did 500 years ago#however the preventative conservation part of me reallly wants to know what materials he used and how much he thought about how they would#deteriorate. like I think concrete is porous enough that moisture would slowly seep through if the soil was wet which it presumably is#sometimes. the spray paint would presumably slow this down but I imagine it would not be super long lasting. also is resin a plastic? let me#investigate. ok yes but I would have to get my computer to look up the various types and how quickly they degrade (if anyones really studied#it. anyways I’m wondering about the long term interaction between the resin and whatever cheetos bags are and metal and concrete and spray#paint. i would need to rewatch the video to see if the ingredients are deeply carved in bc if they’re not I really don’t think that will#last 1000 years much less 10000. hopefully the people of the future will have more sophisticated archaeological tool to analyze whatever#they discover…. i just don’t want the scientologists to beat regular weirdos when it comes to hiding secret treats for future archaeologists
