shout out to all those young latinos and latinas living in their parent’s basements, houses or living in places who were facilitated by family and have to deal with either comments like ‘’you have to be really a loser to still live with your parents’’ or comments like ‘’you have it too fucking easy’’ by americans who don’t understand that in our culture parents don’t let their children suffer even if they are not longer underage and make sure they leave home when they have successful careers, when they feel emotional ready, when they decide to start a family of their own or simply when they can afford themselves a proper living, because in our culture is not degrading to receive help from your parents and you are not supposed to pay back, but you have the obligation to make sure when the time comes you will help your children the same way.
good thing Im not the only one feeling bad about it.
