This is so important. My friend got a really bad (like, permanent nerve damage bad) bite from an offleash dog in a public park (a park for kids, mind you, not a dog park). Its owner was like, oh but shes so sweet, she would never do anything like this! But my friend (who was 10 at the time) was walking her own dog, and her dog is NOT good with other dogs, and the two dogs got in a fight and my friend was badly injured in the scuffle.
tldr: keep your dog on a goddamn leash its seriously not that hard
