In which I am tres proud of my corset, which does not dig into my thighs but also diminishes my lovely bounteous prow (but honestly I’m willing to trade looks for comfort)
leftover silk taffeta with coutil lining, silk dupiono (ew) binding, boning channels for strength made out of cotton twill tape, waist tape of the same, spirol boning, a fricking lot of thread, terrible poly ribbon which can be tightened and will be replaced.
Took me about 4 days tbh, but that’s because it’s summer break.
Gorgeous!

Fritz Haarmann’s preserved head. Haarmann known as the “Butcher of Hanover” and the “Vampire of Hanover” was a German serial killer who is believed to have been responsible for the murder of 27 boys and young men between 1918 - 1924. He was convicted, found guilty of 24 murders and executed. Haarmann was beheaded by guillotine on April 15, 1925. His head was preserved in a jar by scientists to examine the structure of the brain. Haarmann’s head is now kept at the Göttingen medical school.
GUYS THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I’VE SEEN HIM ON TUMBLR. FRITZ HAARMANN IS MY FAVOURITE SERIAL KILLER OF ALL TIME. HE WAS A FREAK. HE HAD THIS BUDDY, HANS GRANS, AND THAT WAS HIS TOTAL BOYFRIEND. SO THEN THEY STARTED GETTING YOUNG BOYS TO COME INTO THEIR PLACE, AND THEY WOULD COMPLIMENT THE BOYS AND THEN THEY WOULD LIKE, TAKE THEM BACK AND THEN HAARMANN WOULD BITE THEIR THROATS AND ALL OVER AND START DRINKING THEIR BLOOD AND HE WOULD RAPE THEM. THEN HE WOULD TAKE THEIR STUFF AND SELL IT ON THE BLACK MARKET AND SOLD THEIR MEAT AS PORK.

For his recently published picture book Freckles (Splice Pictures Publishing), the Swiss photographer Reto Caduff has taken pictures of freckled women all over Europe. His pictures prove: freckles are beautiful. Don’t hide yourself in the shade! I think what I love about this the most is the vast diversity of people who are blessed with freckles. (x)
