“Fireball” Coyote (Canis latrans) or possibly (Canis latrans x Canis lupus familiaris)

Assuming this isn’t a coydog, I honestly have no words to describe how VIVID that coat is. The dark guard hairs over the shoulders mixed in with the orange makes it very hard for me to place, and really makes me think coydog. Any people more savvy then I care to take a stab?

Edit: Here is another shot of the same individual, with a pretty dark friend. The fact that two oddly colored ‘yotes are mingling together makes me think that there is a bit more dog blood in this Canadian coyote population

It probably has some of the same dilute genes responsible for the white or cream coyotes that crop up occasionally. A lot of these genes can actually be traced to golden retriever dogs, so this fellow may very well have a dog as an ancestor somewhere.
