why has no one mentioned the in Ep. 3, Station Management, that Cecil states he has Lyme Disease. That’s pretty serious, and the symptoms are really nasty. I have a friend who has it, and she suffers from mental fog, impeded speech, full-body seizures with no warning,…

amy tan has it, and didn’t know it for years, she thought she was losing her mind. here is a summary of what she went through. a full description of her gradual deterioration is in one of the final chapters of the opposite of fate. read it. when cecil says he has lyme disease, my mind immediately went to her. we don’t know how early cecil’s doctors recognized that he had it, since the symptoms can seem like other things.

Hmmm– I had lyme disease for a year and cured it with a month of antibiotics; it’s not typically a debilitating illness. Honestly, I wouldn’t worry about Cecil (or the writers’ medical knowledge).

37 notes #but headcanon away#also sorry i deleted your comment#anyways 80% of lyme disease patients are completely cured by antibiotics#i went and looked that up just now to make sure im not crazy#i know he said battling lyme disease but i just assumed that meant he was taking antibiotics
