The purpose of the loud intermittent beep in your work area is not to drive you insane. That is an unintended side effect. The purpose of the loud intermittent beep is to make you appreciate the quiet time in between the horrible beeps
Every 30 seconds of quiet between beeps is a balm to my soul. That being said I deserve an award for not killing myself under these circumstances
