the long-tailed tit is a small passerine bird found in europe and asia. fondly nicknamed the โ€˜flying lollipopโ€™ due to their round body and pointed tail, these birds are almost entirely insectivorous, and feed on grubs, worms, beetles, and more. around half of long-tailed tit pairs have a โ€˜helperโ€™ or multiple when raising their young; it increases the chicksโ€™ chances of survivability along with giving the helpers parenting experience.
