Bail funds are critical in plague times. Arrested protesters – like everyone else in lockup, temporary or permanent – are not going to get PPE, soap, wipes, basic sanitation. Locking people up right now is a real quick way to incapacitate them.

Like y'all do not care about rural folks a bit and you couch it in these ugly classist ideals that say no one who lives out in the country knows what’s good for them and that’s what drives country folks deeper into the arms of conservatism and those types of harmful ideals, because those groups are accepting of them and don’t call them stupid every ten g-ddamn minutes. Y'all don’t realize that oppressed groups live out here too and are having to figure out our own ways to make it work
I want to be clear that this isn’t me saying “feel bad for bigots who happen to live in the country.” I’m trying to say that many gay and bisexual folks in rural areas are dealing with levels of internalized homophobia that cause them to disidentify completely with homosexuality and the community at large, and their experiences need to be respected the same as anyone’s, not mocked & patronized by people who live in less repressed regions and think that means they know better. You don’t.
It’s now official: There are more white nationalists and neo-Nazis on Twitter than members and advocates of ISIS. A new report, published on Thursday, revealed that the follower growth of “major white nationalist movement and organization accounts” grew by 600% from 3,542 in 2012 to 25,406 followers in 2016. The study also found white nationalists surpassing ISIS in metrics from tweets per day to follower growth. But how Twitter responds to these 2 groups is most troubling.
