Let’s be clear. Tara was more afraid of Glory, more afraid of being brainsucked than DEATH. To Tara facing this hell god, losing all she was, that was more terrifying to her than being killed. Just think about that for a fucking second. And yet, there she is, in the midst of being tortured by Glory, and having Glory tell her in detail everything that Tara’s worst fear will be if she doesn’t give up the key…and she thinks about Dawn, and Buffy, and Willow and all the rest of the scoobies….and she’s brave. She is strong like an amazon. She has more strength than anyone could ever imagine. She’s brave enough to face a fate that she personally is more afraid of…that she finds worse, than death.

And that friends, is why Tara Maclay is a fucking badass.
