queerness is always framed as being less of a choice than cishetness. like agency is always being ascribed to cishetness and being stripped from narratives of queerness

but there is no agency in cishetness whatsoever, and queerness inherently involves the agency of pushing against that

still hard to remove ideas of “born this way” and “can’t help it” from queerness as long as its something undesirable that must be excused to be allowed
