This picture of Speechless Grey Horse makes it so much more unsettling it really makes you feel the scale of it. Imagining seeing it in your living room when you turn a corner suddenly. A horse is a large animal. Up close. Crouch down beside it, its just there on your floor and its bound. Realer, just remembering its an existing thing. Berlinde De Bruyckeres other works also feature horseskin and evoke a similar, like, shame. Feelings of pity but also an unavoidable fear, because these are giant, mishhapen animals. And its a bit shameful to be looking at it, like the inherent respect we hold for the horse makes it feel a bit wrong to be seeing it like this. And you can only imagine how it feels to walk into that gallery and see it face to face. And then you remember that other sculptures exist and you should be doing this with all sculptueres and paintinfs you come across online, Look into the scale, imagine yourself beside it. Imagine it appearing. You never know what youre getting into when you go to a gallery
