today's funky frog of the day is the green frog (Lithobates clamitans) - this stunning example is a blue morph, caused by a lack of yellow pigment in the skin! this is one of the most common frogs in eastern north america, and show some diversity in their coloration, although usually not as intensely blue as this fellow.

To add onto this, the mutation that causes a lack of yellow pigment is called axanthism! This frog is super cool, what an amazing find !
