I love audiobooks so much but one of their great powers and great sins is how they make poor writing unbearable… like if i was reading i might just skim past awkward phrasing unnecessary adverbs etc but hearing a real human read them out loud makes me want to turn inside out and die

i just made it 3% into the lost apothecary and uhhhhhhhhh I couldn’t do itit might explain why i didn’t enjoy tlt as much as everyone else seemed to. not that its poorly written but its VERY homestucky and justdoesn’t sound very good out loud. although I don’t know how readers felt about the reek of homestuck. maybe they liked it
