Conservation Status- Least Concern

Habitat- Central South America

Size (Weight/Length)- 140 g; 15 cm; 20 cm tail

Diet- Insects; Leaves; Bird eggs; Fruits

Cool Facts- Despite having a mouthful of a name, the white-bellied woolly mouse opossum deserves recognition. These opossums have one of the most feral expressions I’ve ever seen on an opossum and that’s saying something. Despite being classified as a marsupial, the white-bellied woolly mouse opossum lacks a pouch. Due to their strange biology, including 15 nipples arranged in a circle, little is known about their reproductive biology. Spending their entire lives in treetops, these opossums are opportunistic omnivores and eat anything they can get their tiny claws on.

Rating- 11/10 (Little mask for the little bandit.)
