Agreed! The first photo, Poekilocerus pictus, is found primarily in India. Adults are super pretty!

Dactylotum bicolor is usually called the rainbow grasshopper rather than painted, but you know how common names are.

i was surprised that this was a North American species bc it looked soooo different from anything I’d seen before!the d bicolor looks more like the romalea im familiar with. idk if theyre actually related tho. different genus obv
