iโ€™m 99% sure this is a Poekilocerus pictus grasshopper nymph

Agreed! The first photo, Poekilocerus pictus, is found primarily in India. Adults are super pretty!

Dactylotum bicolor is usually called the rainbow grasshopper rather than painted, but you know how common names are.
