Julia Whitney Barnes

American artist, Julia Whitney Barnes, born in 1979, creates floral cyanotypes using the photographic printing method that produces prints with a distinctive Prussian-blue colour, positioning and drying diverse specimens ranging from weeds to cultivated flowers on the surface of photosensitive paper, then adding paint and other elements to create an exquisite mélange of techniques, shapes, and colours.
