Writing horror sucks actually bc U start writing a character and ur like omg they’re so cool i love them oh no they’re definitely gonna die a horrific death

i was literally just like hmm mc lives alone but they should have a pet. omg a pair of bunnies that were a gift she didn’t ask for andpretends to hate bc they are constantly engaging in mischief and property damage but she does love them and relies on them for companionshipoh no she’s not gonna realize it until one of them is brutally killed 😭i started my last project like oh this is a silly slasher I can’t wait to kill these idiots but by the end i was crying at every death sceneand don’t TELL me horror doesn’t need brutal death. bc i know but i also disagree
