We have enough childrens media about how the most important thing is to be yourself we gotta start making childrens media about how if there’s something bad going on in your life or brain you should talk about it to anyone who will listen

i mean maybe they’re on it already i don’t pay that much attention to kids mediabut it does seem to still be a lot of its ok to be quirky type messages which are nice but also kind of. easy u knowi think a lot about how lucky i was that my mental illness was like visually very obvious at a young age bc idk if I’d still be aliveif I wasn’t forced to start therapy when i was 13i was smart and i read a lot of books but i still had no idea if or how i could tell people what was going onand i know a lot of people who felt that way too esp with abuse
