Pure facts i was starting to feel bad about spending most of the day playing a tetris style color block strategy game instead of studying for my exam so i made myself look at a study guide and just stared at it for fifteen minutes thinking about how much i hate the rhetoric around “beating cancer”

#and now I’m here so#the exam isn’t cancer related i was just looking at a study guide from a class i had last year with this guy i hated so much#dumb as a rock. conservative christian with wealthy parents. based his whole identity around surviving cancer#its just so offensive to the memories of people who do die of cancer. like if they’d been smarter or braver they would have lived#not that people shouldn’t talk about their experiences obv but there’s a specific rhetoric that comes up esp on Facebook. and its gross#stop im still thinking about this instead of my exam chnjv
