The female skaters of ImillaSkate, Bolivia’s female skating collective. β€œImilla” is an Aymara and Quechua word that means girls. The collective is a cultural reference and fusion between urban and Chola Cochabambina. Their goal, besides popularizing skateboarding in Bolivia and empower girls, is to make a call to the whole society to reconcile cultural differences and centuries-old women stereotypes.
