Really astounding how many people read this and STILL reblogged it to say, “actually they ARE evil because they stung me once for no reason!!!” Trust me, there was a reason, even if that reason was just that you were near them and you look big and threatening.
This also applies to mosquitoes and other animals that are vectors for disease. Hope this helps.

@snuffgurll I know, another person replied to my comment with a link about mosquitoes, as I had previously read some misinformation.

@jasper-jaz they shouldn’t disappear, we should just find a way to prevent them from transmitting diseases and making me itchy. otherwise they’re important members of the ecosystem

@iamfuckingtrash thank you for showing me! The post I read on my original belief must have been misinformed. Have a coool day!

@snuffgurll same. Mosquitoes are the only animals that can disappear entirely without harming the ecosystem. And I don’t think they only bite humans. So. Let’s make them disappear

i disagree about mosquitoes because they a: kill people b: actively seek me out to drink my blood (which would be fine if not for) c: THEY MAKE ME ITCHY. i know, realistically, this is not the fault of the animal, but i cannot bring myself to like nor respect them when they are the cause of unending pain for so many people, including me. they should exist but they can exist away from me.
