So far I’ve had tiny sea stars, anemones, sea snails, and filter feeding tube worms thriving and even multiplying in just little jars, the anemones and worms for over a year now, so I saw this teency piece of gorgonian coral broken off at a fish store and they gave it to me for a couple bucks. Some nano tank hobbyists have kept bigger corals happy in jars so I’m gonna see if I can keep this little crumb of reef happy with the right food and light in this bottle.

I’ve read a lot about this species and it doesn’t sound tricky, I might just have to run an air tube in to make a little current

So I never did end up adding anything to this, I haven’t changed the water, and the only food I’ve put in is a tiny sprinkling of yeast to nourish microorganisms.

They’re not only still okay, but the polyps have grown bigger and have MUCH longer tentacles:
