This home in Dallas, Texas is for sale, but it’s not what it seems. It looks nice, but it’s nothing but a façade- the windows aren’t real- you can up close, that they’re black Lexan.

It reminds me of a Texas version of the brownstone façade at 58 Joralemon St., Brooklyn, NY. It’s no longer a brownstone, it’s a hidden subway vent, emergency exit, and some kind of electrical power facility. It, too, has black Lexan faux windows.

Both homes have heavy industrial doors that are giveaways.

Instead of a lovely entrance, this is what you see when you enter the front door.

And, this is what you see if you walked thru the front of 58 Joralemon St.

At least this building is well-lit and not as creepy as 58 Jorelemon St. I wonder what it was, and why they don’t want it anymore.

It has lots of storage.

It also has lots of power and if the city power goes out, you’d have a huge diesel generator.

Enclosed courtyard.

The “roof” of 58 Joralemon- the open ventilation.

Nice circular drive.

The real estate description of the house. It can be yours for $989,000.
