This egg-shaped lady is a North American green toad [Anaxyrus debilis] found and photographed by Susan Myers. These toads possess two subspecies known as the Eastern green toad and the Western green toad. They can be found in the southwestern United States as well as in northern Mexico, and are locally abundant in certain areas, but rarely seen due to their burrowing lifestyles.
