The New Orleans townhouse that dreams are made of.
This beauty was built in 1831 and is restored, but a lot of the original features were retained. The brick walls, beamed ceilings, transoms, French doors, and wood floors are all here.
And, so are the wonderful door knobs, locks & keys.
The entrance is at the back, in the courtyard, and there are 4 floors, accessed either by stairs or elevator.
The elevator is accessed from the rear terrace outside, too.
There are 2 kitchens- one on the 1st fl. and one on the 3rd, so you only have 1 flight of stairs, no matter where you are in the house, when you want a snack.
Lovely butler’s pantry.
Lovely wood-paneled dining room with fireplace.
Pretty powder room for guests.
All balconies face the street and are large enough for tables and chairs.
Every bedroom is so large, they’re like studio apts. Each one has a fireplace and room for a table & chairs and seating.
Each bedroom also has its own bath.
Beautiful walk-in closet/dresing room.
This one is very cozy.
This one has a row of skylights going up the ceiling.
The courtyard is narrow, but there’s room to park a scooter.
Also in the courtyard is a spool- it’s a small pool feature when there isn’t room for a regular pool.
