Here we see two specimens of the North American green toad, Anaxyrus debilis. These toads can be found in the southwestern United States and are regionally known as green toads. A very secretive species, green toads are often only seen following periods of rainfall, when they congregate at flooded breeding sites in order to breed. Images taken in Colorado by Mike Pingleton.
