The Gier pigeon is a breed I just learned of today. It is just ordinary pigeon shaped, maybe slightly different beak but otherwise it’s pretty ordinary. Handsome looking.

Looks like they have the Triangluar Spotted Pigeon’s (Columba guinea) bright red cere.

Capped seems to be a particularly beloved marking.

Black is really striking!
