So in Spanish, our teacher assigned us a drawing in which we had to draw ourselves as the opposite sex (basically, a genderbend project using the newly introduced grammar). After everyone presented their drawings, she had the boys (about 20) provide adjectives describing girls, and she had the girls (again, about 20) provide adjectives describing boys (whether they be good or bad). Here’s the results.
Boys thoughts on Girls
- arrogant
- expensive
- lesser
- emotional
- pretty
- impatient
- lazy
- gossipy
- friendly
- weird
- dirty
- clean (????)
- cry often
- dramatic
Girls thoughts on Boys
- clumsy
- aggressive
- nice
- athletic
- apathetic
- relaxed
- lazy
- easily distracted
- dangerous
- strong
- lesser
- whiny
I’d just like to point out that the Boys saw Girls as weak and inferior while the Girls saw Boys as dangerous fools.
Proof that sexism is still a big problem and that men are seriously doing something wrong.
OK I see the sexism but more than that I see the phrase “siempre necesitan caras.” Because everyone know that girls always need… faces??? We need faces.
