the tooth-billed hummingbird is a small member of the hummingbird family native to south america. their exceptionally long beak has small serrated edges, giving them the name βtooth-billedβ; these βteethβ are used to catch spiders and insects. although less colorful than many other hummingbirds, with a mainly brown underside, they are easily recognizable due to their strange beak. x
