if moomins had gained any sort of wider popularity in america a few decades ago there would be a live action moomins movie where they go to the real world and help a down on his luck guy (who works an office job but would rather play the guitar) woo a hot lady whos about to accept a slightly unconventional dream job that would move her to another country but at the end she realizes she appreciates the presence of the guitar man more than she cares about making use of her 4 year degree and also instead of fur all the moomins and especially little my have almost photorealistic but slightly too shiny human skin and eyes where you can see all the pores and it gets a solid 5.4 on imdb  

in some alternate universe the smurfs is a belgian comic series with a few increasingly pretty animated adaptations and a nice line of coffee mugs that’s a popular nostalgic property in europe but considerably underappreciated in america
