hey fun fact to ruin this post, they’re just big because catfish can get that big. radiation actually very rarely makes things gigantic. most of the catfish in the pond are wels catfish, which are known to be super extremely massive behemoths.

in any case they’re definitely not safe to eat (they are contaminated) and they’re also the size of sharks. yay!

actually, that fellow at the bottom is a goonch! they’re a slightly smaller species from southeast asia.

this is what a wels’ mouth looks like. still powerful, but less so. (please note the tail of the 20 pound carp sticking out of her throat.)
