Concept: a gender that is required to invest in expensive supplies to paint a second, more idealized face over its regular, inadequate face every day in order to secure employment, basic respect, et cetera. Also, if this gender uses too much paint or is too ostentatious about it, there’s trouble, and generally none of this can be discussed without starting a fight. Y/n?

Bizarre & hard to understand. A tough concept to swallow

Thank you for your feedback. Sorry if my idea was confusing at first, these points ought to clear things up and make it more sensible:

  1. Every member of this gender’s paint application is automatically open to public critique and derision.
  2. Ditto this gender’s underlying features.
  3. Those of a different gender may not even recognize this gender’s unpainted appearance, and may experience fear and confusion when its skin is revealed as similar to their own.
  4. All aspects of culture relating to paint—whether direct, indirect, mainstream or purportedly subversive—are twisted by capitalism and an elemental antipathy towards this gender (which is internalizable for convenience), plus compounding modes of oppression (e.g. #6 and #7).
  5. Those who enjoy artistic painting as a personal interest and those who object to mandatory painting are encouraged if not outright required to despise and scorn one another.
  6. Members of this gender previously assigned a different gender may be forced to take extra care applying paint, on pain of death.
  7. Paint for darker skin costs more and isn’t as readily available.
  8. Some paints may contain dangerous substances, though disclosure isn’t required.

Hopefully it makes sense now?
