It’s interesting cause the thing that a lot of (liberal) feminists frame as specifically empowering (~owning your body~) for women is sex with men. Not just sex in itself, not sex with other women. Specifically sex with men, preferably without strings. And this idea of the chill easy-going young feminist woman who has sex with men exclusively for her own pleasure and is completely in control aware of her own desires on some fundamental level, is just so far off from any woman I have ever met, personally.

This ideal being held up as desirable and universally possible is harmful considering it aligns more with what men want and expect from the women they want to have sex with than it does with what is best for the young women who are desperate to feel empowered; desperate to gain status and present themselves as good and liberated feminists.
