literallyafathairylesbian asked: "Biological sex" isn't even a thing in the natural world, literally all animals and species have gender spectrums that can vary at all degrees, especially mammals! If you look at the animal kingdom for two seconds you can easily deconstruct any shitty transphobic argument about how biological gender is the only way to address things.

Exactly, as my friend (the molecular geneticist who walks me through the more dense readings) told me:

“When it comes down to it, there’s not really much in he way of hard science that’s needed. Biological sex comes in a range of phenotypes that defy a binary determination. The difficult part is figuring what that does, and/or should, mean for gender.”

These constant fallbacks on cladistic fallacies reveal how transphobic people are, how determined they are to rely on human failures to support their own bigoted opinion. Just because we classify things does not mean that nature follows that rule.

I always like to look at how we gender bees, we force a dichotomy on bees that doesn’t work and never did in order to make it “fit” within our sex binary. It’s laughable.
