i wonder if this is implying Ruby and Sapphire didn’t actually get along at first? i mean they are night and day as far as personalities and fashion choice go. now i’m really curious.

This made me think more of Rose and Greg than Ruby and Sapphire! It was nice to see so soon after Story for Steven, where it makes it seem like Stevens parents met and fell in love instantly and were perfect for each other.
Yet Garnet says “love at first sight isn’t real”– a refreshing reminder. I’m sure it took a lot of work and time to maintain a wacky interspecies romance…
