this is prolly a stupid question, but is there a lot of abbreviation in slangy-spanish like in english? by that, I mean like how people use "bc" "prolly" "p" etc. I'm learning spanish now in school and it's all proper haha

ya! its p common to see those in informal written speech tbh hahah

some examples:

  • dsd - desde (from or since)
  • xq - porque (because)
  • xfa - porfa from ‘por favor’ (please)
  • tqm/tkm - te quiero mucho (ily) 
  • cdt  - cuidate (take care)
  • bn - bien  (’good’, ‘well’  or even ‘so’ as an intensifier depending on context)
  • x siaca - por si acaso (just in case) 
  • ps - pues  (’well’ kinda)
  • mñn - mañana (tomorrow)
