I could honestly write a five page essay about why the live version of Bruce Springsteens Santa clause is coming to town is my number one fave Christmas song and possibly the greatest holiday song of all time
Ok one of the reasons was gonna be “he’s Jewish” but that didn’t check out (Im assuming some Jewish heritage from his name and bc he played the bar mitzvah chair song on request at a concert but apparently he was raised catholic)
But anyways please consider the following:
-the weirdly long intro where bruce asks Clarence if he’s been rehearsing hard so Santa will bring him a new saxophone (idk as a kid I just loved that)
-the super deep grinch voice that echoes certain parts
-the part where Bruce starts laughing and losing his breath and like completely misses a few lines
-the passionate piano outtro
