Does the poem have guts? Is imagery used as a vital way to intensify the poem, and not as mere decoration? Does the poem get to its content with heart and an acute eye? Does the poem work, in its breathing, its life-span? Does the poem get to life-experience, in all its ambiguity or lyricism or terror or love?

— Anne Sexton, from a poetry workshop session, quoted by one of her students, featured in “The Death Notebooks

So far Iโ€™ve had tiny sea stars, anemones, sea snails, and filter feeding tube worms thriving and even multiplying in just little jars, the anemones and worms for over a year now, so I saw this teency piece of gorgonian coral broken off at a fish store and they gave it to me for a couple bucks. Some nano tank hobbyists have kept bigger corals happy in jars so Iโ€™m gonna see if I can keep this little crumb of reef happy with the right food and light in this bottle.

Iโ€™ve read a lot about this species and it doesnโ€™t sound tricky, I might just have to run an air tube in to make a little current

So I never did end up adding anything to this, I havenโ€™t changed the water, and the only food Iโ€™ve put in is a tiny sprinkling of yeast to nourish microorganisms.

Theyโ€™re not only still okay, but the polyps have grown bigger and have MUCH longer tentacles:
