At the antique mall/antique mall finds

Also, obviously, lepidopteran aristocrats would gild or lacquer the edges of their wings to guard against chips and flaking and cover up any imperfections. It would make flying for more than a few flaps impossible but they don’t need to go far bc they have servants and stuff

jeezypetes:

No one wants to say it but if lepidoptera were fantasy races heliconians would be the bad guys. Long living, intelligent, poisonous, pupil-mating creeps…

Ok no offense but what if the Thysbe Hemaris, third child and only daughter of the newly established House of Clearwing, was sent away to the great Nymphalidae Court to find a butterfly husband to raise her family’s status (her family are day-flying Clearwing moths obv. Day-flying moths are just beginning to be accepted as members of butterfly aristocracy). And so she’s being hosted by a sunset moth who lives at court and her personal maid is a fluffy white silkworm moth. And anyways Thysbe is just trying really hard to make her family proud but she’s unfamiliar with the ways of butterfly court and she keeps ending up in risqué situations with her various suitors, including a sinister older Heliconian. And Thysbe can’t help but feel drawn to the mysterious Princess Morpho…. After all, who could possibly be a better match than the Queen’s eldest? But when an assassination attempt is made on the Queen, Thysbe realizes she has more to worry about than who’s going to be her date to the ball!

This is a very cheerful home. I’m assuming that she can paint the walls. They’re pastel and not completely covered, so maybe she will paint them white if she moves.

The pretty dining area outside the kitchen. Love the painted wicker etagere and colorful lamp.

image

The apt. came with a pure white kitchen, but Sarah added pops of color with pink cookware, a blue coffee maker, etc.Β

This is the beauty of removable wallpaper. The lounge formerly had this beautiful flamingo wallpaper.Β

But, Sarah decided to change the paper and found banana removable paper.

The bedroom is so full of such happy color. I really like the upcycled painted chests.Β

The apt. also has this wonderful big balcony. It’s large to decorate to fit several people beautifully and comfortably.
