Have you ever stood in a line for WIC? PREGNANT WOMEN WILL WAIT AS LONG AS SIX HOURS with noisy toddlers to get their coupons for free proteins like cheese and dry beans. DRY BEANS. They can’t otherwise afford this necessary food to meet their monthly protein requirement to have healthy babies.
Do people honestly have any idea what sort of a problem food is in this country and how many children don’t have regular access to healthy meals? Do they know how many pregnant women don’t get the proper nutrition?

Reading this, I just sort of thought:
“Is this an episode of Scooby-Doo? Is there a masked man behind the scenes rubbing his hands together and going ‘Nyee-hee-hee, and now I shall rob all the struggling mothers of their right to feed their children, nyee-hee-hee-hee!’”
The fact that this is something that is actually occurring in reality is beyond me.
This is the result of large-scale businesses pumping money into defaming any republicans even remotely close to the middle, pushing the party further and further right into some kind of extremist nightmare-machine fueled by fear and loathing. Whatever reasonable republicans are left are scared witless for voicing their opinions lest they be cut out entirely
