it makes me uncomfortable when people sincerely like the things that i only like ironically
If you aren’t reading the MLP comics, you should be.
You know what I just realized? Celestia’s castle was, for a thousand years, adorned with pictures of her defeating her sister. She was forced to look at pictures of the worst day of her life everyday, just to make her subjects happy, cuz to them it was such a triumph. That sucks XD
And every single night, she had to raise the moon, with Luna’s reflection always looking down at her.
And every year, she had to host the Summer Sun Celebration, in honor of her defeat of Nightmare Moon.
For a thousand years.
Imagine if you lived for 365,000 days. And every single day, you had to be reminded that you were too weak to save somebody you loved from themselves. Imagine if you loved someone so dearly that you endured a thousand years of internal torment just for the chance to see them again, while everyone else thought they were a terrible monster.
Everyone keeps making stories and art about Luna’s thousand year punishment, but how hard must it have been to be Celestia?
Don’t you make me cry don’t you do it
One more kicker for the road.
In the show, Celestia’s only ever cried twice.
Banishing Nightmare Moon…
And reuniting with Princess Luna.
Imagine the emotional weight Celestia had to take on to banish her sister, and a thousand years later, the relief she felt when her sister came running back to her, embraced her, said that after all that time, she still loved and missed her.
I was mucking around with Audacity, listening to songs in reverse. For the fun of it, I put on everyone’s favorite song, Blurred Lines. And shockingly, I heard something I had never expected to hear. Robin Thicke was fooling us this whole time. He wasn’t trying to be misogynistic, he wanted us to listen closer to the song and understand that he in fact does believe his lady partner needs to be treated with the utmost respect.
You might find it VERY hard to believe, but I implore you to listen very closely (with headphones if you can, because it can be hard to hear). The message I’m talking about comes in around the 30 second mark.
After the 30sec mark I just kind of stared at my wall for the rest of the song trying to accept what I just heard.
THIS IS ACTUALLY THE BEST VOICE ACTING I HAVE EVER HEARD
audiecreates asked: I know you're getting a lot of questions about this and I don't want to annoy you but I was under the impression that asexuals don't feel a romantic or sexual attachment to other people? Or is it just sexual? I'm just a little confused. What does it mean in your fiancΓ©e's case?
asexual people lack sexual attraction.
some asexual people enjoy sex, as they enjoy the physical sensations — they simply do not experience sexual attraction to the person they are involved with.
some asexual people are neutral towards sex and may be willing to engage in sexual activity because they want to make their partner happy.
some asexual people do not enjoy sex in any way and do not participate in it.
some asexual people do not simply not enjoy sex, but are deeply uncomfortable with it.
some asexual people fall on a grayer spectrum. some gray asexuals do experience sexual attraction, but on a very rare/specific basis, while others can experience sexual attraction onlyif they develop a deep emotional connection with someone first (these people often identify as demisexual).
romantic attraction and sexual attraction are not the same thing. i have a close friend who is bisexual, but homoromantic — she is sexually attracted to men and women, but only romantically interested in women.
my fiancee is a biromantic asexual woman. she is romantically attracted to men and women, but sexually attracted to no one.
