Do you ever see a woman on the train Performing Femininity Perfectly (Like On TV) imeanlike petite with perfectly wavy hair past her shoulders immaculate but subtle makeup and nice neat clothes with a nice bag and nice shoes and you wonder does she know she’s doing it? Is it hard or easy for her? Has she always done it? Have I ever, on my way to a date or a job interview, fooled someone else into thinking I was doing it perfectly? Could I do it if I really, really tried?

My cat would hate wearing a costume, so I’ve resorted to using DALL-E2 to imagine her dressed up for Halloween. It does some costumes better than others.
When I try to get DALL-E2 to dress my cat up as other animals, one common failure mode seems to be… this.
