Jaja gracias… Tbh I still don’t really get it I guess I will never be spanish enough

my mom calls her 90-year-old mother “gordita” as a term of endearment… That’s weird right?? Or am I just not spanish enough to understand

my favorite part of finals week is anticipating the sweet release of not having to talk to any of my current classmates any more

Dear short ppl and children: please stop scuttling around below my field of vision. it’s disconcerting

For the past four and a half months, I have had my address out on the internet as an invitation for anyone to send me their blades so they can take a step forward towards getting better.

In those four and a half months, I have received these:

  • 71 blades
  • 4 bobby pins
  • 3 paper clips
  • 2 safety pins
  • 1 needle
  • 1 letter opener
  • 1 lighter

I can’t really say much in response to this, because honestly I don’t think there are words to describe how proud and how humbled I am.

These people are fighters, and the day they sent those away, it was another step towards winning the war.

Bless you all…Thank you for trusting me <3

NOTE: If you would like to send in your tools, I will accept them and I will attach them to cards and keep them safe just like the ones pictured above. You can send anything you want to:

This may be one of the most powerful pictures I have ever seen… one of them has my name on it, and it chills me.

yes tell me more about how watching a video called “teen slut gets ass fucked by man” doesn’t make you hate women, tell me more about how watching a video called “nasty whore gets what’s coming for her” doesn’t contribute to rape culture or alter your views on consent. tell me more about how porn doesn’t objectify, degrade and commodify women’s bodies when the only people in hetero porn getting physically and verbally abused are the women.

This is West Indian culture, celebrating our heritage and our country of origin.

A post has been circulating on tumblr accusing Nicki Minaj of appropriating (Plains) Native American and First Nations tradition by wearing a feather crown in her new tour promo. The OP has apologized but since some people won’t do their research or let this go I made this post.

This is a very small collection of a variety of feather headdresses that are worn during carnival season in Trinidad, Tobago, Jamaica, Haiti, Canada, and the US. The style of each carnival crown varies depending on the carnival season, the different themes for each island, the individual designer who creates the crown, and the colors representing the flag of each island. Nicki has done some racist and insensitive things in her career, but celebrating her culture is not appropriation, especially when this promo is put into the context that carnival is only a few months away in the Caribbean. Carnival crowns and headdresses look somewhat similar to war bonnets only because they are designed to celebrate the Native and African roots of West Indian nations. Carnival crowns =/= war bonnets, seriously people just do your research before you speak on things that you have no understanding of.
